About the Potter
The Mack behind Mack’s Mugs is Mackenzie Barker. She creates all of her pieces to spark joy and to keep the earth in our hands as much as possible. Since relocating the pottery studio to the village of Port Medway, Mack has been working full-time as a restoration ecologist to preserve the beautiful shorelines of Nova Scotia’s South Shore. She enjoys gardening, animals, and travel—all of which inspire her work immensely. Mack spent years as a teacher and now chooses to apply her skills teaching the practical art of pottery instead. She is passionate about inspiring creative growth in a fun and stress-free environment.
